Billing and Refunds

Last updated: 26 September 2026

This page explains how billing works and when money comes back. It sits alongside Articles 9, 10 and 12 of the Terms of Service, which govern your legal rights. Where this page and the Terms differ, the Terms prevail; nothing on this page or in the Terms reduces a right you hold under the mandatory law of your country.

1. How billing works

1.1. Plans are paid in advance for a billing period and renew automatically until cancelled. Where the law of your country requires prices to include tax, the price you see includes it. Where tax depends on your state or province, as in the United States and Canada, it is added at checkout. A business that provides a valid tax number may be charged no tax, and accounts for it itself. Either way, the checkout shows the final amount before you pay.

1.2. Credits are of two kinds. Plan Credits come with your plan, are replenished at the start of each period and expire at its end. Purchased Credits are bought separately and are valid for twelve months from your most recent credit purchase — buying more extends the whole balance.

1.3. Cancelling a plan stops the next renewal. It does not end the period you have already paid for: you keep access until that period runs out.

2. The fourteen-day refund

2.1. Within fourteen days of any payment you may ask for it back. This applies to everyone — wherever you live, and whether you bought as a person or as a business.

2.2. We refund what you paid, less what you have already received. Two things are counted:

  • the part of the paid period that has passed, and
  • the credits you have used out of those allocated for it.

Both are expressed as a share of the fee, added together, and never exceed it. You see the exact amount before you confirm.

2.3. Why not simply the unused days: a month's credits can be spent in an afternoon. Counting only time would mean returning almost everything after the whole month's generative capacity had been used. Counting only credits would mean returning everything to someone who worked in the editors all month without generating anything.

2.4. The money returns by the same means you paid, without undue delay and in any event within fourteen days.

3. Credits

3.1. Credits you have already spent are not refundable, except as described in section 4. The generative capacity behind them is bought from model providers the moment you use it and cannot be returned.

3.2. If you withdraw from a credit purchase within fourteen days, we refund the price of that purchase in proportion to the credits still unused.

3.3. Plan Credits have no monetary value on their own and are not refunded separately.

3.4. Credits which have expired are not refunded or reinstated. We write to you thirty days before that happens.

4. Apps and Library items

4.1. Apps, templates and storefront themes made by other people are supplied by us. Where they carry a price, it is paid in Credits and shown before you take them.

4.2. A template or storefront theme you have acquired stays yours even if its author later withdraws it or we remove it from the Library.

4.3. If an app stops being available within thirty days of the day you acquired it, we return the Credits you spent on it.

4.4. If an app, template or storefront theme does not work as described, write to us. Where that is the case, we return the Credits you spent on it.

5. After fourteen days

Fees are not refundable after that period, except where the law of your country requires otherwise. We may still make an exception in an individual case, but doing so once does not create a rule.

6. If you are a consumer in the EEA or the United Kingdom

You have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen days of entering into it, without giving a reason. That right is set out in Article 12 of the Terms and is not affected by anything on this page. Where that right and the fourteen-day refund in section 2 overlap, whichever is better for you applies.

You can exercise it from the billing section of your account, or by writing to support@hespera.ai. We confirm receipt by email.

7. Purchases made through an app store or a reseller

Purchases made through Apple or Google are refunded by them, under their own rules and their own time limits. We cannot issue or refuse those refunds. Ask the store directly.

Where a payment provider sells to you as merchant of record, it processes the payment and the refund, but the rules on this page still decide what is refunded.

8. Payments that fail

If a renewal payment fails we retry it and write to you. Access continues during that period; if payment still does not go through, the plan stops renewing and your data remains available for export as described in the Terms.
